And yet, with all this progress, we’re still staring down global chaos: Russia grinding on in Ukraine, Communist China flexing in the Pacific, and all those international institutions that seem more interested in rainbow flags and climate virtue signaling than, oh, I don’t know—keeping the world from falling apart. That’s why it’s time to stop playing games and fill our seat at the U.N. with someone who doesn’t need a flow chart to tell right from wrong. That someone is Mike Waltz.
Mike isn’t just another suit with a resume padded by think tank fellowships and wine-and-cheese diplomacy. The guy’s a Green Beret. Four Bronze Stars. He didn’t learn about geopolitics from a Georgetown seminar—he learned it with boots in the dirt. And let’s talk about the U.N. for a second. This is the same place where China gets to sit on panels about human rights and where antisemitism gets passed off as legitimate criticism of Israel. Please. It’s not a diplomatic body—it’s a bad satire at this point. Peacekeeping missions that couldn’t keep a playground safe. Aid programs that funnel cash into corrupt governments or fund social experiments that have nothing—nothing—to do with American interests. Like we’re supposed to believe “Being LGBTI in the Caribbean” is a higher foreign policy priority than deterring Chinese expansionism?
Mike Waltz gets it. He’s not going to rubber-stamp woke nonsense or let China run wild in standards-setting bodies while the rest of the free world is asleep at the wheel. The Senate needs to confirm him before the August recess so that when the U.N. General Assembly convenes in September, we don’t show up as a half-present, half-apologetic embarrassment. We show up strong, strategic, and led by someone who has earned the right to speak on behalf of the American people. Someone who understands that our foreign policy isn’t about making globalist elites feel better—it’s about keeping America safe and prosperous.

Trump didn’t pull us out of the Human Rights Council and the WHO because he’s impulsive. He did it because these institutions betrayed their missions. Now, with Waltz, we have a chance to put someone inside the building who will keep calling them out, reform what can be saved, and expose what needs to be dismantled.
It’s time to stop pretending the U.N. is some sacred temple of virtue. It’s a political battleground, and like any battlefield, we need warriors, not diplomats in denial. Mike Waltz is that warrior. He’s the one who can stand toe-to-toe with America’s enemies and not flinch. And more importantly, he’s the one who won’t forget who he’s fighting for. Confirm him. Now.
