Trump Laid Out His Plans In 2 Hour Address

President Donald Trump took the stage at the Capitol and delivered a nearly two-hour address to Congress, laying out his administration’s biggest moves and future plans—and, as expected, the Democrats were not having it.

Before Trump even uttered a word, the protests were in full swing. Some Democrats showed up in pink to protest supposed attacks on women’s rights, others flashed signs declaring “this is not normal,” and Texas Rep. Al Green didn’t even make it through the opening minutes before being booted from the chamber for shouting that Trump had no “mandate.” But after that brief interruption? Smooth sailing for the former (and possibly future) president.

Trump wasted no time running through a stack of executive orders—nearly 100 in six weeks, if you can believe it. He touted his administration’s actions on everything from scrapping the Paris Climate Accord to pulling the plug on the Green New Deal. But one of the biggest moments came when he addressed a new executive order banning biological men from competing in women’s sports. Enter Payton McNabb, a 19-year-old volleyball player who suffered a traumatic brain injury after a transgender athlete spiked a ball into her head. Trump made it clear: under his administration, schools that allow biological males to compete in women’s sports will lose federal funding.

And that was just the start.

Then came the big guns—Trump’s push to slash federal government bloat. He gave a nod to Elon Musk, who was in attendance, and rattled off a wild list of wasteful government spending, from $22 billion to house and transport illegal immigrants to $8 million for “making mice transgender” (yes, you read that correctly). The crowd ate it up.

Trade was also a major talking point, as Trump announced new tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Sitting in the audience was Jeff Denard, a steelworker who’s been on the job for nearly three decades while also serving as a volunteer firefighter and fostering 40 children. Trump used Denard’s story to hammer home his message: tariffs aren’t just about protecting American jobs, they’re about preserving the nation’s soul.

And then, of course, the southern border. Trump reminded the room that despite years of hand-wringing from the left about the need for “comprehensive legislation,” all it really took to get things under control was a new president. He introduced Alexis Nungaray, the mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who was brutally murdered by illegal immigrants. In her daughter’s honor, Trump announced he had signed an executive order renaming Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge as the Jocelyn Nungaray National Refuge. And if that wasn’t emotional enough, he then turned to the family of Laken Riley, another young woman murdered by an illegal immigrant.

But the moment that had everyone talking? Trump bringing up young DJ Daniel, a child battling brain cancer who dreams of being in law enforcement. Right there, in the chamber, Trump directed the Secret Service to name DJ an honorary U.S. Secret Service agent. A touching, patriotic moment—except most of the Democrats in the room didn’t even stand.

And just when you thought the night was winding down, Trump dropped one more bombshell: his administration had just captured the terrorist responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul, the attack that killed 13 American service members during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.

It was a speech filled with action, emotion, and the signature Trump bravado that his supporters love and his critics love to hate. And the message was clear: his administration is moving full speed ahead, and he has no plans to slow down.

Love him or hate him, one thing is undeniable—when Trump speaks, people listen.
