Noem zeroed in on the tragic crash that happened on October 21 in Southern California — three people dead, families shattered — and had the audacity (how dare she!) to suggest that maybe, just maybe, letting people with no verifiable identity and no legal status operate a multi-ton commercial vehicle isn’t exactly a bright idea. You don’t need to be a traffic engineer or a policy wonk to figure this one out, folks.
According to Noem, some of these so-called licenses are being issued with literally no name provided. That’s not satire — that’s an actual quote: “no name given.” And that piece of laminated nonsense is then used to apply for a CDL. You know, the thing you need to drive a big rig.
