We’ve got some interesting developments surrounding Hunter Biden that fianlly got over to CNN. A report that Hunter Biden, while his father was serving as vice president, sought help from the U.S. government for a potentially profitable energy project in Italy. And let me tell you, the panelists over at CNN had plenty to say about it, describing the situation as “very strange.”

Now, if you have been following the news in conservative circles, you’ve known about this for a while, but there’s something “very strange” going on top of all this, and we’ll explain below.

Edward-Isaac Dovere, one of the panelists, didn’t hold back. He pointed out that this whole situation feels off to a lot of people. Imagine this: the vice president’s son sending letters and making requests to government officials, asking them to meet with a company. That’s bound to raise some eyebrows, right? Dovere explained that the White House has been aware for a while now that Hunter Biden could be an issue, and this latest revelation isn’t helping matters. He even hinted that Hunter might have been subtly reminding folks of his last name to get what he wanted. It’s a classic case of “you know who my dad is,” and it doesn’t sit well with everyone.

Kasie Hunt, another CNN host, jumped in to add more context. According to *The New York Times*, a document related to this project mysteriously surfaced right around the time President Biden dropped out of the race back in the day. Talk about timing! The Times reports that Hunter Biden reached out to the U.S. ambassador to Italy in 2016, asking for help with a Ukrainian gas company called Burisma, where he sat on the board. Now, the reaction from officials was, well, lukewarm at best. They seemed hesitant to get involved with a request coming from the son of the vice president, especially one representing a foreign company.

Matt Gorman, who used to be an adviser for Republican Senator Tim Scott’s presidential campaign, shared his thoughts as well. He made it clear that this situation doesn’t look good for Hunter. Remember, Hunter Biden is still facing trial later this year for tax evasion related to his time at Burisma. Gorman mentioned that Democrats might be relieved that they don’t have to deal with Hunter Biden on the presidential campaign trail, but this story isn’t going away anytime soon.

Hunter’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, also weighed in, trying to downplay the situation. According to Lowell, Hunter Biden only asked for an introduction between Burisma and the president of the Tuscany region in Italy, where Burisma was exploring a geothermal project. No meetings happened, no projects came to life, and no U.S. government resources were requested. Lowell insists that the outreach was a “proper request.”

So the question is…Why is this all coming out now?

Well, maybe they need to keep Joe in line so he doesn’t thwart Kamala.
