Well, here we go again — Minneapolis, once the proud “City of Lakes,” now quickly becoming the poster child for what happens when progressive politics crash headfirst into reality. It’s like watching a slow-motion car wreck where the drivers — the mayor, the governor, and half the city council — are arguing over which traffic law to ignore while the engine’s already on fire. Now veteran law enforcement officials, the kind of people who actually know what they’re talking about, are sounding the alarm, but hey, apparently logic and experience are outdated in 2026.
Let’s start with the obvious: public order in Minneapolis is collapsing. Not fraying — collapsing. Former LAPD Detective Moses Castillo, a guy who’s seen actual riots (the kind you don’t walk away from with a cute Instagram post), says ICE operations are turning into a circus. And not the fun kind with peanuts and clowns — the kind with chaos, bad communication, and what he bluntly called a recipe for “friendly fire.” Imagine sending a SWAT team into a preschool with water guns and no plan — that’s basically what’s happening here.
Then there’s the moral outrage machine. Every time there’s an enforcement operation — justified or not — activists leap into the streets faster than you can say “Defund the Police,” armed with bullhorns, hashtags, and half-baked facts. The crowd response is massive, emotions are high, and suddenly the narrative is already written before the investigation even starts. Law enforcement is now guilty until proven innocent — assuming they survive long enough for anyone to care.
So what’s the leadership in Minnesota doing while federal agents get assaulted and ICE officers lose fingers (yes, bitten off)? Apparently, not much. Retired Lt. Randy Sutton didn’t mince words: the governor and city leadership have “abdicated” their responsibility. Let’s be real — that’s putting it politely. This is what happens when political leaders care more about appeasing activist Twitter than protecting their own citizens. It’s not just bad optics — it’s dangerous policy.
Minneapolis was authorized for 900 officers. You know how many they actually have? About 550. And of those, only 265 are on patrol. That’s not policing — that’s triage. That’s a skeleton crew barely hanging on, while the city slowly slips into lawlessness. And yet, instead of doubling down on supporting the thin blue line, leaders are shoving federal agents into riot situations with no training, no plan, and no backup. Then they wonder why it all spirals out of control.
Both Castillo and Sutton made it clear — this isn’t some spontaneous burst of outrage. It’s organized. Coordinated. Funded. This isn’t a bunch of random neighbors holding candles — this is a machine, fueled by outrage, driven by politics, and weaponized by confusion. And without strong, competent leadership, it’s going to keep getting worse.
Tom Homan calls out Mika for claiming ICE disappears people. Your comments put ICE agents in danger. They’re not disappearing anyone, they’re just enforcing the law.

Of course, instead of listening to the experts, Minnesota leaders seem more interested in scoring political points. Sutton nailed it when he said labeling officer-involved shootings as “murder” before investigations are done is nothing short of reckless. But when your entire political career hinges on signaling your virtue louder than your peers, who has time for facts?
Trump, love him or hate him, did what leaders should do — he sent in someone with backbone, Tom Homan, to try to restore order. Whether or not they let him actually do anything remains to be seen. But here’s a thought: maybe stop treating law enforcement like the bad guys, and start treating criminals like criminals again.
I made a promise that we would flood the zone of every Sanctuary city in this country
Why Minneapolis..? why are they being prioritized, bc billions of dollars of fraud are being uncovered
Border Czar Tom Homan will report directly to Trump & oversee the fraud investigation… pic.twitter.com/vN9u5u62KZ

Minneapolis doesn’t need more speeches, slogans, or symbolic gestures. It needs coordination, command, and actual courage. Because right now, the only people showing any guts are the ones wearing the badge — and they’re being hung out to dry.
