In a surprising turn during a U.S. Senate campaign event on Tuesday, a bullet fragment struck TV reporter Ryan Gamboa at a shooting range. The incident unfolded while Democratic candidate Lucas Kunce was firing an AR-15 at a private residence near Holt, Missouri, alongside former U.S. Representative Adam Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois.
Kunce, a Marine veteran with 13 years of service, was the only one shooting when the fragment ricocheted from the target and hit Gamboa’s arm. Kunce immediately stepped in to assist using gauze and treated the reporter.
This campaign event, designed to highlight Kunce’s military background, took place just two weeks before Election Day. Kunce’s campaign has leaned heavily into his experience in the Marines. However, pictures of the event show some serious lapse of safety and judgment.
Part of his mistake was having disgraced RINO Adam Kinzinger with him and the picture below says it all.
Notice how close they are and that they are shooting steel targets. It’s no wonder someone got hit by a fragment. Also, notice that Kinzinger is not wearing his eye protection over his eyes.
Democrat Lucas Kunce SHOT a reporter during a photo op today with Adam Kinzinger. This is the guy running against Josh Hawley.
Shooting a reporter will be the big story but look at Adam, he’s using a scope meant for 100-400 yards to shoot at targets only 15 ft away. Thankfully… pic.twitter.com/1lKDKZ0CqS

Senator Josh Hawley tore into the accident.

Hawley also wrote that his grandmother is safer than those two.

The Senator is really having a good time mocking Kunce with this.
I condemn all acts of violence against reporters and call on Kunce never to shoot another one 😂😂😂
