Oh, the irony practically writes itself.
So let’s get this straight. A man publicly berates Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears — a Black immigrant woman, mind you — yelling “Go back to Haiti!” and “Traitor!” at a college football game. Then he runs to the police, claiming he’s the victim? Of harassment? You truly can’t make this stuff up.
In a country where the left claims to champion “inclusion,” “tolerance,” and “anti-racism,” they sure have a funny way of showing it when someone like Sears, a conservative Black woman with the audacity to think independently, rises in the ranks. Instead of celebrating diversity of thought, they pull out the same tired insults the moment she doesn’t parrot the progressive playbook. But remember, it’s only “hate speech” when it comes from a Republican. When a Democrat donor screams xenophobic nonsense at a Republican immigrant woman? Crickets.
And let’s pause on that for a moment: the guy in question, Scott Pogorelc, turns out to be a Democrat donor — with public records showing donations to none other than Abigail Spanberger, Sears’ likely opponent in the gubernatorial race. Of course. You can’t throw a rock in Northern Virginia without hitting someone who donated to Spanberger, but yelling racial slurs at a Black Republican while supporting a Democrat? That’s the real plot twist.
Now, Pogorelc’s employer — a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin — promptly cut ties with him. Okay, fair enough. Actions have consequences. But the guy apparently thought that the internet wouldn’t notice his face going viral after he screamed racist garbage in a stadium filled with smartphones. This is 2025. Everyone’s recording everything. But somehow, after becoming the face of leftist double standards, he decides to file a police report because… he’s getting mean DMs? A few nasty tweets? Maybe some “you messed up, bro” messages?
Leftist who shouted at Virginia gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears to “Go back to Haiti!” has reportedly been fired by Lockheed Martin.

Well, the Fairfax County Police weren’t buying it. Their threat assessment unit took a look and concluded that, shocker, being held accountable for your own racist outburst doesn’t constitute harassment under the law. You don’t get to scream at an elected official in public and then hide behind law enforcement because the internet decided to roast you for it. Not how it works.
And while the media ran the story, they were awfully cautious in their coverage. Had the roles been reversed — say, a Republican donor shouting racial insults at a progressive Black woman — there’d be a weeklong special on MSNBC and hashtags galore. But since the narrative doesn’t fit, it quietly gets shuffled into the “local news” pile, with nary a whisper about the broader implications.
Let’s not overlook the other part of this pattern: this wasn’t the first time Winsome Sears has had to deal with this garbage. Back in August, someone thought it was just hilarious to compare her to Jim Crow laws, holding up a sign that equated opposing radical gender policies with denying Black people access to water fountains. That’s the level of “intellectual debate” the far-left is bringing to school board meetings now. And when Republicans call it out, they’re accused of being “divisive.” No, calling out racism is not the same as causing division — it’s called telling the truth.
Governor Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares both stepped up to defend Sears, rightly pointing out the blatant hypocrisy. Because it is hypocritical — painfully, obviously so — to call yourself the party of equality while hurling abuse at the first Black woman elected to statewide office in Virginia just because she has an ‘R’ next to her name.
Let’s be real: the left doesn’t have a problem with racism. They have a problem with dissent. Especially from minorities who don’t toe the line. And when someone like Sears challenges their worldview — unapologetically, fearlessly, and with conviction — the mask slips. And suddenly, all that talk about “tolerance” goes right out the window.
So no, Mr. Pogorelc, you don’t get to play the victim here. You got caught being the very thing your side claims to oppose. And the real shame is that there are still people pretending not to see it.
