Democrat Congressman Adriano Espaillat recently commented on former President Trump visiting his district in New York City.
After being in the courtroom, former President Trump traveled to a Harlem bodega where the convenience store owner was arrested for stabbing a man attacking him. Bragg locked up the bodega worker because the man who attacked died after the employee defended himself.
Note how the Associated Press writes it up:
Fresh from a Manhattan courtroom, Donald Trump visited a New York bodega where a man was stabbed to death, a stark pivot for the former president as he juggles being a criminal defendant and the Republican challenger intent on blaming President Joe Biden for crime.
Jose Abla, 61, was attacked by a violent ex-con, Austin Simon, 35, and thrown into Rikers Island prison when Simon died from his wounds. Abla stabbed Simon in self-defense after he came behind the counter.
After a lot of outcry, Bragg’s office dropped the charges.
“Following an investigation, the People have determined that we cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was not justified in his use of deadly physical force,” Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sigall wrote in the motion.
When it was learned that Trump would visit, Congressman Espaillat wrote on social media, “Donald Trump didn’t do his homework. My district is progressive, and my constituents are honest hard working New Yorkers who don’t have time for Trump’s division, hate, and chaos. Trump has no place in my district.”
However, the video of what took place says otherwise.
Cringe.
Zero people chanting your name in your district but people are chanting “I love Trump”
Does this child have “no place” in your district either, Congressman?pic.twitter.com/vK7xlVFZFm

Trump doesn’t make surprise visits. He’s a former President who is running for office. Everything must be planned. Note there is absolutely zero counter-protesting.

Something to note here…When is the last time you saw Biden be among the people like this?
