Cuban Discusses Trump During Segment On CBNC

Well, isn’t this a plot twist? The billionaire brawl between Donald Trump and Mark Cuban just got juicier, and honestly, it’s giving *reality TV meets politics*. It all started when Trump took to Truth Social—his signature digital soapbox—this past Saturday to blast Cuban with one of his classic insult flurries.

“Mark Cuban is a Loser,” Trump wrote, going all-in. “Wouldn’t take his phone calls anymore while at the White House, and he went rogue. A weak and pathetic ‘bully,’ he’s got nothing going. Really low clubhead speed, a total non-athlete!”

And there it is—throwing in some golf shade for good measure. Trump, as we know, can’t resist getting in digs that border somewhere between juvenile and… oddly specific.

But this spat didn’t just come out of nowhere. Cuban’s been out front campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris, poking holes in Trump’s policy proposals at every opportunity. During a rally in Wisconsin, Cuban couldn’t resist taking a swipe at Trump’s stance on tariffs.

“Let me just tell you, this man has so little understanding of tariffs, he thinks that China pays for them,” Cuban jabbed.

Here’s the context: Trump recently announced a plan to slap a 20% tariff across all imports and hike it to 60% for goods coming from China. While the idea might sound bold to some, economists have been quick to warn that these kinds of policies could backfire on U.S. businesses and consumers by driving prices up at home. Cuban isn’t exactly alone in calling it out—critics on both sides of the aisle agree that Americans would end up footing the bill.

Now, if you’ve followed these two over the years, you’ll know this feud has been simmering for a while. Back in 2015, Cuban praised Trump as a game-changer in politics, calling him “the best thing to happen to politics in a long time” during a “Fox & Friends” appearance. Trump even gave Cuban a little love back. But by the time the 2016 election rolled around, Cuban had switched sides, throwing his support behind Hillary Clinton, and things between the two billionaires went downhill from there.

Fast-forward to now, and Cuban’s fully aligned with Harris, positioning himself as a pro-capitalist voice within her campaign. There’s even some buzz about Cuban aiming for a top role in government—he’s hinted he wouldn’t mind taking over the SEC and ousting current chair Gary Gensler. Meanwhile, Trump seems to be bolstering his own billionaire crew by bringing Elon Musk into the fold, setting up yet another layer to this ever-expanding feud. Cuban, never one to mince words, threw some shade at Musk during an interview on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” calling him a brilliant entrepreneur but also… “a f—ing troll.”

But wait—here’s the kicker. Just days later, Cuban seemed to switch gears, giving off some major *mixed signals*. Despite his vocal support for Harris, Cuban told reporters he’d be willing to lend Trump a hand if he ends up back in the White House.

“I’m America First,” Cuban declared, as if trying to reassure everyone he’s not playing favorites. “Country over party, country overall. I just think Kamala Harris is the better candidate for the job right now.”

It’s giving whiplash, honestly. Cuban’s words seem to suggest he’s willing to back the candidate he believes is best for the country, but the sudden pivot feels like a bit of a backpedal. The real question is—what’s Cuban’s endgame here? Is he playing both sides just in case, or is this his way of proving he’s truly independent?

In the wild world of politics, one thing’s for sure: Billionaires might be just like us, but with bigger egos, more public squabbles, and apparently, lower clubhead speeds.
