A newly leaked Zoom call is presenting fresh challenges for the Biden campaign. In this call, the president is heard delivering a shocking rant in which he mocks the service of a combat veteran. This call took place between Joe Biden and a group of “moderate” House Democrats. Participants described the president’s performance as “even worse than the debate,” with Biden struggling to finish sentences, rambling, and frequently losing his train of thought.
Puck News, a typically left-leaning outlet, obtained and confirmed the video. The media outlet put the video behind a paywall but it’s only a matter of time before it pops up on the internet.
The meeting was set up by moderate Hill Democrats to express their concerns about Biden’s ability to secure victory and how his potential downfall might affect their own political futures. “The call was even worse than the debate,” one participant shared. “He was rambling; he’d start an answer, then lose his train of thought, then would just say ‘whatever.’ He really couldn’t complete an answer. I lost a ton of respect for him.”
These are serious criticisms coming from Biden’s own party members, suggesting more than just mild senility but a significant decline in cognitive ability.
During the call, Rep. Jason Crow expressed his concerns, prompting Biden to launch into a tirade that ended with mocking Crow’s combat service, including his Bronze Star. Crow is a retired U.S. Army Ranger who served three tours between Iraq and Afghanistan. The campaign did not dispute this incident. In the video, Biden chastised Crow for questioning the importance of national security to voters. Biden’s response was erratic and emotional, claiming credit for revitalizing NATO and asserting his unparalleled leadership in foreign policy, often incoherently.
Biden’s remarks about NATO were inaccurate. NATO existed and was fully functional before he took office, and it was never damaged or hindered in a way that required “putting back together.” Furthermore, there is no evidence to support Biden’s claim that all foreign leaders believe he is the “most effective leader in the world on foreign policy.” The most jarring part of Biden’s rant was his mockery of Crow’s Bronze Star, a prestigious military award, suggesting his accomplishments surpassed those of the decorated veteran. Biden’s habitual reference to his deceased son, Beau Biden, was also present, though it added little to the conversation.
The president’s emotional outburst continued with him screaming that he doesn’t “want to hear that crap” in response to Crow’s criticisms. Crow gently pointed out that Biden’s message wasn’t resonating with voters, to which Biden responded by aggressively listing his accomplishments. “On national security, nobody has been a better president than I’ve been. Name me one. Name me one! So I don’t want to hear that crap!”
This outburst is one of the most unhinged moments from a sitting president in recent memory. To say Biden is losing touch with reality amid his political struggles would be an understatement. Whether due to senility, desperation, or both, the president’s inability to control his emotions poses a significant concern for the nation.
The political ramifications are significant. This video could have only come from Democrats because it was a private meeting. If Joe thought he was going to get a reprieve from being asked to step down due to the Trump shooting, he was wrong. If anything, it appears to be ramping up.
