Trump Responds to Media Criticism in New Statement

David may have taken down Goliath with one well-aimed stone, but it took Donald J. Trump to flatten the modern Goliath: the liberal media establishment that spent decades puffing itself up on your tax dollars and its own bloated self-importance.

And let’s just take a moment to appreciate the sheer scale of the meltdown we’re witnessing here. NPR? Defunded. Top editor? Resigned. PBS? Cut. Cue the pearl-clutching and breathless think pieces on the “end of democracy.” Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert—the darling of smug late-night snark—got the boot from CBS. Apparently, even the network that once bent over backward to keep Trump out of the White House decided they couldn’t afford another minute of punchlines aimed at the guy who’s already two steps ahead of them.

Then there’s The Washington Post, which used to wrap itself in that grandiose slogan “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” Well, turns out darkness is actually a great way to clear out a newsroom. That paper’s undergoing a liberal exodus like it’s the Great Resignation all over again. Opinion writers like Jen Rubin and Jonathan Capehart are suddenly too delicate to write in a section that supports gasp free markets and personal liberties. Heaven forbid a newspaper actually engage with the First Amendment.

Let’s not forget Media Matters—once the self-appointed watchdog of conservative speech—now reportedly considering closing up shop. Turns out trying to take down Elon Musk’s X platform and running up $15 million in legal fees wasn’t such a sustainable business model after all. Oops. That’s not just a defeat. That’s a faceplant on a national stage with your shoelaces tied together.

And while Trump’s victories over the media have been especially satisfying, they’re just one part of the larger picture. We’re only six months into his second term and the man is sprinting. Border? Locked down. Israel? Backed up and then some. Iran? Let’s just say their nuclear ambitions took an express trip to “nope.” No American boots on the ground, just strategic strikes and diplomatic muscle. Who knew competence could look so…presidential?

And those doomsday predictions about Trump’s tariffs tanking the economy? Yeah, about that. The economy’s humming along just fine. Stock markets are climbing, global trade deals are finally fair, and even the European Union blinked. Funny how that happens when you put America first instead of begging Brussels for permission to protect your own workers.

Meanwhile, blue states and elite enclaves—those bastions of leftist policy like Beverly Hills and Hawaii—are busy turning natural disasters into permanent decline zones because, surprise, progressive policies don’t know how to rebuild anything except bureaucracy. If this were the Obama years, the media would already be pushing for a constitutional amendment to keep him around forever. But Trump? He gets crickets—or, more accurately, tantrums disguised as journalism.

And speaking of journalism, let’s not forget the lawsuits. CBS settled for $16 million after accusations of election interference. ABC? Paid $15 million for falsely tying Trump to a rape case. These aren’t slap-on-the-wrist settlements. This is media accountability, served with interest. For once, lying about a conservative leader comes with a price tag.

The media spent four years cheering for Russia hoaxes, lawfare, and coordinated smears. They thought they’d buried Trump in 2020. But now, they’re the ones pulling the plug on their own operations, downsizing, and running for the exits. That’s not just irony—that’s justice.

And if they haven’t learned their lesson? Well, don’t worry. Trump still has a few stones left.
