For the most part, Veterans don’t care if you were a super secret high-speed operator. Apart from the occasional good-natured joke, they’re not concerned about your MOS either. What matters is that you served.

Doesn’t matter if it’s the National Guard, active, or reserve. You put your name on the line and volunteered.

What vets can’t stand is if you lie about your service. They get infuriated when you lie about your service record for monetary/political gain.

This is why Walz has walked into a hornet’s nest, and even Democrat vets are separating themselves from him.

Another sign Harris has a real problem is that Democrat hardliners like Rep. Ted Lieu hasn’t said a word (as of the writing of this post). Rep. Lieu is a party man and as left wing as it gets but, he is also a very proud veteran and usually comments on this stuff.

It hasn’t even been a full week, and Walz ran from the press.

The recent political reshuffling has seen Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro decline the opportunity of being the Vice President. This unexpected decision came soon after a significant meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris. Insiders close to Shapiro suggested that the meeting did not live up to expectations, leaving a sour taste with Shapiro’s advisors.

A report from Politico could be a huge problem for Kamala if she wants to make a change.

People aren’t interested.

According to Politico Shapiro aired major doubts about leaving his governorship. His interaction with Harris seemed to solidify this decision. As a result, Harris chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, selecting a candidate who may invigorate the Democratic base rather than focusing on the electoral map.

Insiders say that Shapiro’s interview with Harris did not go as well as hoped. One source close to Shapiro’s advisers said, “There was not a great feeling coming out of it.” Another individual familiar with the selection process stated that Shapiro grappled with the decision to leave his current role as governor for the vice presidency.

One speculation is that Whitmer and Shapiro see the Harris campaign losing, which would open things up for them in 2028.

What the reports (if true) show is that Kamala may be stuck with Walz.
