Joe Biden’s disastrous late-June debate performance has into one of the most incredible news cycles in a long time. It’s not often that political events leave seasoned observers genuinely surprised, but the rapid unraveling of Biden’s campaign is a notable exception.
Which, if we are honest, really isn’t a surprise. Look at his track record:
Screwed up the Afghanistan withdrawal, ignored inflation calling it “transitory,” ruined the economy, Gaza pier was a total disaster, food prices were through the roof, and it cost a week’s paycheck to go out to eat.
The media ignored all of this until they found out.
The cat was out of the bag, and they’ve been after Biden ever since.
However, after the Clooney op-ed things have gone to a whole new level.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host, Joe Scarborough, reported that Biden’s campaign believes former President Barack Obama is covertly working to undermine Biden. Scarborough emphasized the significance of this claim, stating, “What’s going on behind the scenes is the Biden campaign and many Democratic officials do believe that Barack Obama is quietly working behind the scenes to orchestrate this.”

Just a few weeks ago, the notion that Obama might be maneuvering to force Biden out of the race would have seemed ludicrous. However, if you watch his posture ushering Joe off the stage, it seems pretty obvious.
The path to recovery for Biden appears increasingly implausible. They are flailing on social media. Every time his staff posts something, they get rocked in the comments.
They also have bigger problems.
NBC News reported that sources inside the campaign told them fundraising is “already disastrous” and that “The money has absolutely shut off.”
Biden spokesperson Lauren Hitt said, “That’s not accurate, on grassroots fundraising, the first seven days of July were the best start to the month on the campaign — and many of those were first-time donors. On the high-dollar side, we’ve had folks max out since the debate, as well.”
Folks, if they are attacking Obama, it’s bad, really bad, and boy, is it fun to watch.
